WHEN CHANEL COMES TO MEGÈVE. ❄️ Some places n WHEN CHANEL COMES TO MEGÈVE. ❄️ Some places never go out of style. Neither does CHANEL.

For its COCO NEIGE 2026/27 campaign, the French fashion House chose Megève as the backdrop for its latest interpretation of Alpine elegance.

Think snow-covered chalets, bold winter silhouettes, playful accessories and that unmistakable CHANEL touch.

But beyond the fashion, there's something about this setting that feels particularly fitting.

With its mountain heritage, timeless architecture and distinctive art de vivre, Megève has long embodied a certain vision of Alpine life — one where tradition and elegance naturally meet.

A little mountain magic. A lot of CHANEL.

And a beautiful reminder that the Alps continue to inspire some of the world's most iconic fashion Houses.

🇫🇷 CHANEL PREND DE L'ALTITUDE À MEGÈVE. ❄️

This is why I love autumn 🍂❄️🐮 The firs This is why I love autumn 🍂❄️🐮

The first snowfall, cows resting peacefully beneath a tree, and that magical moment when autumn meets winter.

I spotted them from the road and just had to stop.

If I could have, I would have sat there with them for a while, simply taking in the beauty of this first snowy landscape.

There's something so healing about animals and nature. It's hard to explain, but after this little encounter, my heart felt so full.

So grateful to have witnessed this first glimpse of winter, right in the middle of a beautiful Alpine autumn.

And just like that, the snow is gone, the sunshine is back, and autumn carries on. 🍁

Sometimes, the simplest moments stay with us the longest. 🤎

IN THE ALPS, HERITAGE HAS A MANE AND A STORY WORTH IN THE ALPS, HERITAGE HAS A MANE AND A STORY WORTH TELLING. 🐴

In Megève, the bi-annual Concours aux Poulains brings horses, breeders and living mountain traditions together in a celebration of Alpine heritage.

Among them is the Cheval de Megève, a local mountain horse traditionally bred in the region. Hardy, sure-footed and well adapted to the Alpine environment, it was once valued for farm work, transport and life on steep mountain paths. Today, it remains a symbol of Megève’s rural identity and the knowledge passed down by local breeders.

Here, every braided mane, gentle gaze and proud step reflects a way of life passed down through generations.

Far from the ski slopes and glamorous chalets, this is another story of the Alps. One rooted in the land, its people and the traditions they continue to preserve.

And one we think is worth sharing 🤎

Some places simply feel better in fall. 🍂 And A Some places simply feel better in fall. 🍂 And Auberge de la Maison might be one of them.

At the foot of Mont Blanc, autumn in Courmayeur is that brief moment between seasons — when the forests turn gold while the first snow settles high above the valley.
Days start outside, somewhere between a walk and absolutely no plan at all. Then come long afternoons by the fire, a swim overlooking the changing trees, dinner in the warmth of the chalet and the feeling that there is really nowhere else you need to be.

Perhaps that’s what makes fall here so special.

The mountains get quieter. And somehow, you do too.

Would you stay here in fall?

Ever wondered why cows wear flowers when they go d Ever wondered why cows wear flowers when they go down from the alpine pasture? 🌸🐄

Every autumn, after spending the warmer months grazing high in the mountains, cattle make their way back down to the villages.

In Austria, this centuries-old tradition is known as the Almabtrieb.

But the flowers, ribbons and impressive bells aren't simply there to make the journey home look beautiful.

Traditionally, when the summer in the high pastures had passed without serious accident or loss, the herd would return richly decorated — a way of celebrating and giving thanks for bringing both animals and herders safely home.

Some cows wear elaborate headdresses made from flowers, fir branches, ribbons and greenery. In parts of Vorarlberg, these decorations are known as a Maja, while the leading cow can receive the most spectacular crown of all.

Even the bells carry meaning. Beyond helping locate the animals in the mountains, tradition and folklore attributed a protective power to their sound, believed to keep evil spirits away during the journey down.

And if tragedy had struck during the Alpine summer? Traditionally, the festive decorations could be left aside. So those extraordinary flowers tell a much deeper story than they first appear to.
